Pros
Decent pay and benefits for industry
Cons
Horrible work environment, loud, not conducive to productive. Leadership pretends to listen and talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. We had hoped that with all the surveys something would change but it has been over a year and they still don't listen to what is a highly educated and very talented workforce. Leadership sees staff as beneath them and pions unworthy of their time and consideration. They don't want to do anything to benefit the staff and only give out carnival gifts and think staff appreciate another cup or lunch bag. We will see if they have listened to us with some new program they are supposed to be working on. Leadership is scared of the staff and their talents and are so stuck in the 1970s mentality. The majority of the work that many staff do at Alliance could be done with telework and at least 30% of staff have been requesting this but management is so behind the times they can't even consider it. You feel like you are banging your head against the wall and definitely feel unappreciated. Once you get in this specialized industry however it is a little hard to get out. I wouldn't recommend coming to work here if you have aspirations of moving up in a company either as only friends of leadership get promoted. Coming to work is like going to prison for 8 hours per day where they expect you to work like a robot and get no appreciation in return.
