Pros

There are good people to chat with on slack that makes the 12+ hour days more bearable.

Cons

There is a lot of internal chatter so many employees are aware of discrepancies, inconsistencies, bad policies, and the inability to act on poor behavior/HR violations. HR does not seem to care when you highlight these on an exit interview and nothing changes. You can highlight many issues and it's as if the person didn't care whatsoever about my concerns about my personal experience or the company (despite others voicing them too). They don't promote based on merit/ability and demand everything from you without giving an inch. You can work 60+ hours a week and it is expected and applauded even though you're told no one should work more than 40 hours a week ( that's a lie). I kept track and over 20 sales reps left within the year. Reviews are only high because you are asked by the woman in HR to write a review your first week or two on the job when you're in high spirits. Everyone I collaborated with was miserable and felt undervalued and there is no focus on developing talent. Many talented people end up leaving the company as they were underutilized and under appreciated and then they have now thrived at top companies. I do think the sales department is different than others although I knew many upset people in marketing as well. Many account executives (mid market) still work 60+ hours a week and many make less money than when they were ADR's because they are not hitting quota and it is a low base salary. Also very low pay compared to any other company for the same roles yet they don't even have better perks. Finally, they absolutely cut you off and never show gratitude for all your hard work once you have a new opportunity. They are not happy for your individual or personal goals and it is just what you can do for the company to line the pockets of upper management. Everything I said is true, but I used different synonyms and tone than I usually do because I am extremely fearful of retaliation by Allego. I would highly recommend reaching out to those that used to work at Allego (LinkedIN search) for an informational interview to learn more before signing any acceptance offer!

Pros

Fantastically collaborative culture. One platform, one united mission, with a management team that is willing to step in and help. The company is small enough that people can build meaningful relationships across departments and functions, but large enough to really execute on what we set out to do.

Cons

Like many SaaS-forward companies, many different tech tools / solutions and places to look for information.

Pros

Allego is in an exciting phase of growth, which creates a lot of opportunity to take ownership and make an impact. The people here are genuinely smart, thoughtful, and highly collaborative. There’s a strong culture of teamwork rather than internal competition. One of the standout aspects is that the company truly lives by its operating principles and values; they’re not just words on a slide, but actually reflected in how decisions are made and how people work together day-to-day.

Cons

Like many growing companies, there can be some growing pains. Priorities may shift and processes are still evolving in certain areas. This can sometimes create ambiguity, but it also comes with the upside of being able to help shape how things improve.
