Pros
The people you meet along the job; (most) vendors, colleagues, customers, are all very friendly and there’s always lots to learn from them.
Cons
Applied for a role with AllSense, but ended doing most work for Oo La Lab, a passion project of the CEO, now under Top Middle Base. Roles and responsibilities differs from what was discussed in the initial stage of interview. I fully understand that we have to work weekends, but was not expecting to be working almost 7 days a week got my entire duration of internship. Weekends consists of interns running perfumery workshop under Oo La Lab. The last I heard, these workshops were still fully run by underpaid interns, working “OT” for $3.50/ hr based on hourly rate of intern pay. Working hours were erratic with interns fully running large scale events (including liaising with vendors, delivery, set up and hiring of manpower, etc.) and management simply pop by for a quick hello on the day of event. CEO was a micromanager, and behaves like an artist with no sense of business only does as he wants. CEO enjoys putting employees down, and commonly ruins the entire morale of the office. Loud screaming is very common.
