If you are buddies with the CTO, you’ve got it made in the shade. New CTO comes in and brings all of his pals (who are smart and sharp, don’t get me wrong) who take on management and sr positions. So unless you are buddies with CTO, your growth may be limited. The culture is fake. The high fives, the hugs, the jokes are so cringy. Alkami is a Texas based company trying to be Silicon Valley. I know this happens in a lot of companies but it just seems overly fake here. The tech stack is dated. The application was not built for the cloud so enjoy getting paged as they have sevs almost every other day.
