Pros
- The in-office culture is decent. - They offer free food during lunch, and have Murphy’s Deli downstairs for their employees to spend up to $15 on daily. - The office itself is appealing to be inside of. - Good opportunity to learn and understand common corporate systems. - Some teams are very pleasant to work with (marketing, finance). - CEO and CFO are very easy people to like and work with. They’re down to earth and genuine people.
Cons
- Bad culture depending on your team. - Micromanagement. - Work-life balance is non-existent as you’ll receive tons of messages even on weekends and if you’re on PTO. - IT’s patching program for end-users is a joke. There isn’t much automation in place. Support are unfortunately tasked with messaging employees in the company to ensure their computer is in compliance, which disrupts many people’s work. - Some of the projects you are asked to work on have deadlines that are impossible to reach, which basically sets you up for failure. - Cannot voice your concerns to management. (Seriously.. don’t bother wasting your time. They will dismiss your concerns or say you’re being unreasonable.) - Personal goals are driven by management. Like, how are you going to decide my PERSONAL goals?
