Cons
Avoid Alger unless you desperately need a job and have no other options. The day-to-day hamster wheel of this firm will take away your happiness and your joy in life. The culture is notoriously bad. There is pervasive micromanagement and optics are prioritized over meaningful business activity. The primary factor that drives all decisions of management within the sales organization is what best helps them keep their own jobs. Management is entirely focused on survival, protecting their own desk, and paranoid of everything being a plot against them. You will get to a point where you question your own sanity. Alger is notorious for underpaying people, and turnover is incredibly high. Over a third of the salesforce has left in the last 18 months, as sales have been poor for years and there isn't much promising on the horizon. The entire organization operates to feed the ego of the CEO, who most people think is entirely checked out.
