Pros
It's been two and a half years since I started working at AlgaeCal, and I still feel incredibly lucky to have found this company and to be part of their family. I know it might sound cheesy, but that’s honestly how it feels. After working for larger companies, I was looking for a change in 2022 someplace where I’d truly belong and feel a sense of purpose every day. That’s exactly what I found at AlgaeCal.
Their mission to help those suffering from bone health issues by offering a natural solution to bone density loss is something I resonate with deeply. As the Marketplace Director, I oversee our growth on platforms like Amazon, but for me, it’s not just about sales it’s about changing lives, one bottle at a time. AlgaeCal really cares about its customers, and that care extends to its employees too.
Even though I work remotely from Quebec, I always feel like a part of the family. It never feels like I’m on the outside. The in-office team gets to enjoy activities together, with lunches provided on some days, and they genuinely look out for each other. It’s truly a big family atmosphere.
If you’re looking for a company that stands by its culture and values, I highly recommend AlgaeCal. After 15 years in my career, I’m grateful every day to be part of a company like this.
Cons
Like all companies, remote communication can sometimes be a challenge, but AlgaeCal manages it really well with 50% of the team working remotely. The other half are the lucky ones who get to experience the full in-office AlgaeCal atmosphere.
