Pros

A paycheck. That's about it.

Cons

You have to wonder about a company that the CEO has to email current staff asking them to post good reviews on Glassdoor because they're having trouble hiring due to the negative reviews received, with good reason. The company is clumsily managed, the CEO would rather be doing anything but running the company or handling employee issues, the nepotism is almost incestuous (if you're not in the inner circle, your job could be forfeit at any given moment), and it really doesn't matter how much effort you put into your job, they do not mind shamelessly stealing credit for your work at the weekly meetings. Training was cut short because the employee that was leaving couldn't wait to get away from the company. Just an amazing farce of a corporation. Please don't waste your time, there are literally hundreds of better employers in the Denver area that will be straightforward and treat you with the respect you deserve.

Pros

The Ownership and Management really cares about the customers and the employees. The customer base is appreciative of the work that we do for them. This is a great place to learn and grow your IT knowledge.

Cons

There have not been any cons for the past several years. There is a nice healthy growth of the company happening now.

Pros

Most clients are K–12 schools, which makes for a generally relaxed and low-stress work environment. Leadership is very hands-off and trusts you to handle things your own way. If a customer takes issue with something, management will usually have your back, within reason. The on-call rotation is super chill. You’re only up every few months, and you get to pick your week. Company culture is solid. The small team size means you actually get to know everyone, and people are friendly and willing to help where they can.

Cons

Very siloed structure. As an MSP employee, you’re fully responsible for your assigned sites, and escalating to senior engineers can be slow and cumbersome. Most of the time, you’ll be troubleshooting and resolving issues on your own. There’s little to no formal training or professional development beyond what you pursue yourself. Advancement opportunities are also limited simply because of the company’s size. Until a senior person leaves, your position will likely stay where it is. Pay is middle of the road. Merit raises do happen, but not often. The new health insurance setup is great for younger employees since it’s mostly covered through a company “voucher,” but it’s much pricier for older staff or anyone with dependents. There’s also no retirement plan offered.
