Working with underdeveloped management staff. Their leaders are promoted by default. Basically, if an individual has performed a particular function long enough, outlasts or endures the rest they are promoted to management without any previous experience, qualifications or proper training. Unfortunately, being a subject matter expert in a field does not equate to leadership skills. Their Human Resources department does nothing to improve this process. Therefore, expect to work with demeaning and hostile leaders who regularly threaten your job, use their status for personal attacks against you without consequence. HR will not investigate the validity of any performance concerns or false accusations by their leadership which leads to employee termination. Ironic, working for a law firm that lacks the appropriate due process in handling management/employee conflicts. Their solution, employee termination based on the word of unskilled leader.
