Pros

This job was awesome when in college. Choose your own hours Get paid above minimum wage (at the time) Travel opportunities if desired Time off is easy to earn

Cons

This is a shipwreck of a company for anyone seeking full time work who is not in management or higher. Absolutely no health insurance coverage or benefits for ANY employee Areas for growth in the company are limited to how brown your nose is not correlated to the amount of work you do or how long you have been with the company Many of the persons in management are primal in leadership skills and lazy in their work ethic The thing that destroys this company: The training you recieve is beyond subpar and set any new employee up for failure out of the gate unless they get lucky enough to have an experienced technician of the area train them HANDS ON. Hands on training is an extreme rarity and even still the person doing the training is more than likely receiving the same pay as the trainee while the manager making salary pay does ZERO training. In my 5+ years with this company I received numerous calls from the same manager asking me how to complete simple on site tasks, tasks that are supposedly part of the training you receive from that manager as a new hire. Unorganized and incompetent. Some will read this and ask, "If it was so bad why stay there so long?". As an employee showing interest in growth with the company and expressing that interest to the upper management bubble, you will be promised that this opportunity is right around the corner and you just need to keep working hard and keep grinding and you will reap the reward. (All of this came from the same manager that asked me how to perform simple tasks on site as mentioned earlier) At the end of my final year with Airwave Networks, I found out the hard way that they had "chosen to opt out" of giving everyone Christmas bonuses that year after receiving one for the prior 4 years.

Pros

The environment is great. Family feel even though we work remotely. Get to work from home and set our own schedule really. If we cant work one day our manager lets us make up the hours on another day.

Cons

The pay. Pay is lacking. Unfortunately $10 an hour is not cutting it when the average tech support representative makes about $15 an hour, remotely. You dont get paid for the time in the beginning of your shift when you start your computer and wait for systems to load. While other companies pay you during that time if you were to walk into a call center and start your systems and even remote call centers.
