Customer Service Rep/Net Support Specialist - Call Center Technician/Network Support Specialist Airwave Networks Employee Review

Pros

You get to work from home. That's about it.

Cons

The biggest con is the pay. It's completely terrible. After receiving $.30 yearly raises for 4 years in a row, I asked for a much deserved $2.00 raise (especially since I was "promoted" to Net Support Specialist and did a LOT more work) and ended up only getting another $.30 raise. Needless to say, my reason for leaving. They make you use your own telephone or skype account to make calls for them. So you either pay for a skype account or better have unlimited mins on your phone Benefits are virtually non-existent. There is basically no room for growth, unless you plan to travel a lot.

Pros

The environment is great. Family feel even though we work remotely. Get to work from home and set our own schedule really. If we cant work one day our manager lets us make up the hours on another day.

Cons

The pay. Pay is lacking. Unfortunately $10 an hour is not cutting it when the average tech support representative makes about $15 an hour, remotely. You dont get paid for the time in the beginning of your shift when you start your computer and wait for systems to load. While other companies pay you during that time if you were to walk into a call center and start your systems and even remote call centers.
