Pros

It used to be the culture and the people

Cons

People disappear and when you speak to them and find out why, it turns out Aiimi has a sinister way of cutting headcount by blaming people for poor performance, disengagement and lets them go without going through proper protocols. Not to mention the level of nepotism and favouritism that riddles this place which sees people who stand in line and shmooze getting promoted even though it’s widely known they are not top performers. I lost trust in this company and left when I saw what they did to several of my colleagues just before Christmas 2023 with some still struggling to get back on their feet due to what Aiimi did to them. SLT and Ops are responsible for the loss of a lot of peoples livelihoods, confidence and dignity.

Please be aware that the content has been flagged to Glassdoor, due to the inaccurate portrayal of how Aiimi conducts personnel matters. I’d like to clarify that when someone leaves Aiimi, there is always a valid reason – this is private and therefore not shared with the rest of the organisation. While we cannot control any misinformation that is spread through the grapevine, we can assure you that the proper processes are followed in every instance. We’re proud that many of our staff have chosen to stay with Aiimi and work with each other for a long time, but personal relationships do not impact our decisions on promotions. Career progression is an area we talk about frequently and openly with the whole company, including in our all-staff monthly meetings. We are disappointed to know that you left Aiimi feeling this way. We value all feedback as an opportunity for growth and improvement. As you mention you left Aiimi over a year ago, I should add that we have since introduced several new mechanisms for our current staff to provide feedback and suggest any changes they believe we can and should make.

Pros

My onboarding experience at aiimi has been really positive. There’s a clear, well thought out framework and structure that helps you get up to speed without feeling overwhelmed. The people are genuinely welcoming, supportive, and clearly passionate about innovation, which makes it easy to settle in and start contributing. aiimi works with a great range of customers, and being part of a large enough organisation means there’s real diversity in the projects you can get involved in. That variety makes the work interesting and provides strong opportunities for learning and growth. Overall, a great place to start and build momentum early on.

Cons

Due to the diversity of projects, the pace can be fast, and there’s a lot to learn early on

Pros

Working in an exciting space within technology. Great office space, with good equipment, meeting room set up, free snacks. Good bunch of people, very supportive colleagues and a transparent senior management team. A good split of remote working opportunity and opportunity to collaborate with people in the office day to day and through monthly team meetings.

Cons

With a company of this size, it's not always immediately visible what the next step up is.
