It was a bitter experience to work there. There's an apparent disconnection between the management and the rest, so the managerial decisions and processes aren't all transparent to everyone in the company.
The company claims to be very inclusive, open minded and diverse etc., however, they aren't really able to understand or implement such values. So it feels quite bogus and artificial. Unfortunately two things that reminds me of AS are “Don't question, do as I say” and “We have always been doing it this way”. So they are very closed to the new ideas. There is no space for conversation, exchanging ideas and discussion. I experienced constant bossing around, belittling and even making fun! Unbelievable... What a toxic place it was. In my personal opinion, anyone can learn something from anyone. In AS, your voice isn't heard at all if you are a junior. It's very weird. Not every work place is like that.
Many other employees were irritated by all these things, yet they were scared to say anything. This is because 99% of the employees are young foreigners and they aren't very familiar with the Finnish way of working. The company brings young foreigner people from other countries, helps them to get resident permits. And then these employees feel in debted to the company. Isn't this exploitation? This contradicts with how they display themselves as equal, Nordic, diverse and so on.
They are very biased, and also skeptical for anything new. Some of them don't even know how to give and receive feedback, or simply talk to people without being blatant. It isn't a good place for you if you wish to work in a peaceful work environment where everyone respects each other.
I believe they need to get rid of the old dead weight and embrace change and novel thinking. No matter how senior someone is, they shouldn't let them be rude to others, just to satisfy their egos. There are other ways to keep them happy.
