Pros
Nice office location, other interns were nice
Cons
From day one, it was clear that this workplace thrives on cliques. Most employees formed tight-knit groups that were unwelcoming to outsiders, particularly interns. Gossip was constant. People regularly spoke poorly about coworkers and clients.
Unfortunately, management not only ignored the toxicity but also enabled it. Despite being made aware of the unprofessional behavior, leadership chose to look the other way. They appeared far more interested in maintaining the status quo than in supporting a healthy or respectful work environment.
As for the internship itself, it was incredibly disappointing. We were promised hands-on experience and mentorship, but the reality was far from it. Our days were mostly filled with menial tasks, including washing dishes, picking up lunches, and running errands for the full-time employees. There was no learning or guidance, and no effort was made to integrate us into the company's actual work.
This internship wasn't a stepping stone into the industry. It was a lesson in how not to run a business or treat people. If you're looking for a place to grow, be mentored, or be treated with basic respect, this is not it.
