Pros

Agency H5 houses some of the most BRILLIANT PR and Design minds Chicago has to offer. The people who work here are deeply passionate about their work and the clients they support. More than that, my colleagues are wildly creative, generous and incredibly KIND. Kindness is a major pillar and core value here at Agency H5; and we have a fearless leader who defends the company culture at all cost, even if it's at her personal expense. Since the recent removal of a former senior leader, the office has been restored to it's warm, welcoming and fun-loving state. It's very important (not just to leadership) but to all of us that we honor our core values and always treat each other with love and respect. I’m sure you don’t hear about “love” often in the workplace, but it’s certainly the environment that has been fostered at H5. At H5, we have the freedom to be who we are, love who we love and NOT be judged for it. That same freedom lends itself to our work. While we do have senior leaders in place, EVERYONE is encouraged to go after clients and/or projects they have the skill set for. We’re one big team here, there are NO big I’s and little u’s. Everyone is welcome to explore new opportunities – and promotions/raises are given once you’ve excelled in those opportunities. There isn’t a glass ceiling here…and that’s really encouraging. -Unlimited Sick Days -Early Close Fridays (3 pm year-round) Soft Close (Christmas Eve - New Year’s Day) -WFH option -Fully stocked candy bar And many more…

Cons

No cons per say, though I would like to see a bit more diversity.

Pros

I've worked at my fair share of agencies - and Agency H5 was unlike the rest. There is zero toxicity, and endless support from colleagues and senior management. The experience you will gain here will put you ahead in the industry - and you'll get to work with a very wide array of clients. On the personal side, the CEO GETS it. She knows that you have a life outside of work, and understands the importance of mental health.

Cons

It will be a very hard place to leave!

Pros

Nice office location, other interns were nice

Cons

From day one, it was clear that this workplace thrives on cliques. Most employees formed tight-knit groups that were unwelcoming to outsiders, particularly interns. Gossip was constant. People regularly spoke poorly about coworkers and clients. Unfortunately, management not only ignored the toxicity but also enabled it. Despite being made aware of the unprofessional behavior, leadership chose to look the other way. They appeared far more interested in maintaining the status quo than in supporting a healthy or respectful work environment. As for the internship itself, it was incredibly disappointing. We were promised hands-on experience and mentorship, but the reality was far from it. Our days were mostly filled with menial tasks, including washing dishes, picking up lunches, and running errands for the full-time employees. There was no learning or guidance, and no effort was made to integrate us into the company's actual work. This internship wasn't a stepping stone into the industry. It was a lesson in how not to run a business or treat people. If you're looking for a place to grow, be mentored, or be treated with basic respect, this is not it.
