Aeroplan - Customer Sales and Service Agent Aeroplan Employee Review

This review is for the old Aeroplan company (under Aimia) that was situated at Vendome. I enjoyed my time working here because of the people. The company had a great community feel and supportive team environment. There are opportunites for growth within your role but not through promotions.

Getting promoted to a higher role was much more diffcult to come by. I wouldn't say it came often either but I believe, it's because people didn't leave their higher role positions to make way for that opportunity.

The pay is extremely competitive. The health plan is, in my experience, unparalleled. There is RRSP matching (essentially a pension), and you can buy an extra week of vacation.

This place is ridiculous. Typical bottom-line nonsense, laying people off, offshoring, increasing workloads on existing staff, changing direction every few months... very typical corporate job with the executives in Toronto and the workers in Montreal, with all the executives so busy using buzzwords and maximizing profit for the shareholders that they have completely lost site of life in the trenches.
