Pros

The only reason you may have to work for AerSale is if you are desperate to have a job, that nobody will hire you anywhere else and that you do not care too much about having your own reputation being destroyed in the market place.

Cons

This is a company that is stuck in the 1980's. No robust processes/tools, no compliance methodology and an abusive and aggressive culture that makes it an extremely hostile work environment. In addition, the leadership has a totalitarian attitude. They refuse to listen to anyone, including their "valuable" customers. Deals are considered successful when AerSale wins and the other party loses. They are not afraid to create enemies and burn bridges. Management lacks vision. Their perspective is limited to what happens within the next 30 days. They made the terrible mistake of purchasing various companies (recently Avborne, Qwest,...) instead of investing in their existing facilities which have outdated capabilities. Leadership is only looking at their own interest and they are quick at pointing the finger to whoever they feel has made a mistake, failing to take responsibility for their own errors. They recently laid off 25% of the workforce, reduced up to 50% of salaries of the 75% remaining employees, did not pay the 2019 bonus to any of their loyal employees and left 100 employees stranded with no health insurance coverage for themselves and their families right in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. Well done!

Pros

The base salary is competitive at the point of hire. That said, there are no cost-of-living adjustments or CPI-linked increases, so your real purchasing power declines the longer you stay.

Cons

Remote work flexibility was not applied consistently across the team, which created a sense of inequity among employees. There was no formal feedback process and no performance reviews during my time there, making it difficult to gauge expectations or grow professionally. I did not feel I developed new skills in this role. The general atmosphere in the office felt tense and morale appeared low across the team. Communication from leadership was at times intense and difficult to navigate.
