Pros

Solid mission, caring and very impressive new CEO, decent pay and OK benefits. Properties are pretty nice and front-line staff are very dedicated.

Cons

IT is awful. HR is poorly run and pay errors and raise issues happen, some departments are dominated by drama. CEO has great vision but a lot of internal opposition and is perhaps facing racism/classism. Board of Directors was great but the best people are leaving it. Not a lot of room to run if you want promotion.

Pros

Wonderful health benefits, fair salary for both incoming and retained employees, compliance department run with a good work life balance, management works with team members and teams to create the best outcomes possible. Lots of promotion from within, lots of personal growth development opportunities,

Cons

Corporate parking kind of sucked, not all of the departments were run with as little drama as Compliance, and I really couldn't complain about much else.

Pros

Important work, lots of dedicated and smart employees. Makes a genuine difference in the lives of many residents. Pay is decent. Was on the right path to stabilization until recent changes in leadership. Buildings are really quite good and site-management generally dedicated and skilled. Operations folks really strong, made my job a pleasure and proud of them, we survived the pandemic crisis and did good work.

Cons

Total personality cult around founder. Senior Management mostly busy feathering their own nest. Big financial problems and they have undermined the whole organization. Too comfy relationships with local banks and builders that only serve those for-profit organizations, and not the mission. Gossipy creepy workplace at the top level. Board too cowardly to make urgent changes. Many senior/executive staff (nearly all white) are highly privileged, payed exorbitantly, and low-key racist/ classist. HR is really, really inept.
