Too many initiation/onboarding meetings in the first two weeks. Probably half of them either took longer than necessary or weren't that beneficial at all. Within my first month, I missed one infrequently-scheduled meeting at an ungodly hour of a Monday morning, the first of its kind after I started, and that was enough to get me the boot. Never mind that the majority of the reason I was hired was to build new tech that, in my view, would eventually make that kind of thing unnecessary. "Oh and by the way, we had a problem with how you did a few other things too, and even though that was resolved, we're still holding it against you."
