Advanced Correctional Healthcare Response
11yWe are pleased to have the opportunity to work in a building that is more comfortable than most would expect an office environment to be. The break room is designed to facilitate employee interactions and collaboration. We have since moved the popcorn machine to a large conference room and invite all staff back to a “fluid and electrolyte meeting” each week. The “fluid and electrolytes meeting” is a silly nickname for voluntary social time for all employees to collaborate and catch up with one another over music, popcorn and drinks. It’s also a place where employees can interact with the CEO, Vice-CEO, President/COO and many other members of leadership in a casual environment.
At ACH, we are pro-employee. That extends to providing employees with a comfortable environment to work in as well as compensating them well. Our employees receive annual raises (which is not consistent with our industry) and several individuals qualify for bonuses and awards with monetary perks.
Unfortunately we cannot respond to the statement about situations in which employees were “let go without warning”. When terminations occur ACH has investigated the circumstances thoroughly and has a good faith basis to believe the situations occur. Unfortunately just for curiosity purposes, we choose to respect the privacy of those let go and cannot go into details of specific terminations with co-workers or other employees.
ACH places a large focus on attracting, hiring and retaining employees. Therefore, we have a big focus on turnover ratings. While our turnover rates are consistent with the industry, we are actively working to decrease it by hiring candidates who thrive in the culture.
In response to the statement regarding “youngsters you’ve put in charge”, we feel it is important to state that ACH is an EEO employer and refuses to treat employees different based upon their age (or otherwise). ACH will not withhold positions from qualified individuals. Any concerns about the values any employee exhibits is the responsibility of the employee to report this to their supervisor, HR or any member of management for immediately attention. Due to our open door management and reporting practices, retaliation for making a claim will not be tolerated.
Thank you for taking the time to review us and for allowing us to respond
