Pros
- Best place to learn technology as the company offers a huge variety of IT services - Career wise you have place to grow if you show interest and expose your skills - Amazing colleagues in all departments (not all colleagues, but most of them) - Team work is always thriving in Service Desk/Back Office - Services are various and specialization is possible with the support of the Company - The company and managers are very respectful in regards vacations and unexpected days off
Cons
- The company is ran in an old fashioned way - The core teams do not want to take responsibility in severe cases. There huge communication gaps between the customer facing support and the infrastructure engineers. There is almost no way a customer facing support technician will ever talk to an infrastructure engineer. Everything is done through management who doesn't want to bother them either. - The company gets more and more clients but there is no investment in the service quality. It rans on same 15-20 people doing all the work. - Some Service Solution Architects are not professional, they only care to sign the contracts without making sure the customer's infrastructure is suitable for the service they demand - Projects are total chaos. Nobody knows what they need to do, who should do it, the planning is very poor. - If you are a good technical resource, you will be exploited to the point of breakout. You will do the work of every department without any money compensation. This will lead to technicians that can resolve anything entry-mid level but you will never get to specialize in a specific technical area. - The heads of most departments are people who were with Advance2000 since day 1. They are waaaaaay behind current technology and they do things like in 1990. They are not open to improvement. - The company is got big, but it's managed like a small business with big dreams. Wake UP and do things the right way!
