Pros
Nice office location Discounts on trave The business has potential for growth and positive cultural change with the right leadership focus
Cons
No flexibility -being required to work 4 days a week in the office is not truly “hybrid” working, especially when there is little consideration for work-life balance or individual circumstances. It feels more like a rigid office-based policy with limited trust in employees to manage their workload effectively remotely. There is also very little focus on learning and development. Since I have been here, the entire HR team has left, which highlights clear retention issues within the department and raises concerns around culture, support, and progression opportunities. There does not appear to be much investment in developing or retaining talent internally. In addition, the Head of HR is rarely in the office 4 days a week themselves, which makes the policy feel inconsistent and difficult to take seriously. It is hard for employees to feel engaged with a policy that leadership do not appear to follow or model themselves. This creates a disconnect between expectations placed on employees and the behaviours demonstrated by senior leadership.
