Pros

The people. Very talented and motivated team members and a leadership team that's always open to listen to employees. Over the last 4+ years, I've experienced the transformation the company has gone through. There are ups and downs, and the company evolves and adapts. The leadership is very approachable and available. I've never been turned down or rejected when I reach out to leadership to share feedback or request updates. Things can seem slow, but making the right decisions sometimes takes longer. In addition to the great people, there are many other pros, such as: - flexible hours - quarterly company events - team budget dedicated to each team every quarter - cool projects - travel opportunities to go onsite and meet clients - zero micro-management - career advancement and compensation trajectory (way higher than the inflation adjustment, provided you do a great job) - great office location - relaxed office environment - perhaps the best HR you can ask for (and I cannot be more grateful for their help with my visas and immigration processes) - The company invests in talents (that is, if you are a true talent)

Cons

As I mentioned, the leadership team could be slow to respond and changes can take longer to implement. Personally I don't mind it too much and I know the right decision will be made in the end. The office might seem too quiet, but I think it's a very productive environment.

Thank you for the review and for sticking with us as we've continued to grow! It's input from employees like you that helps us become a better organization. We definitely want to keep our talented, tenured employees and we'll look into your suggestions. We do try to communicate information and decisions made, but updates would certainly help increase transparency while things are still WIP. We appreciate your feedback!

Pros

There are some talented people you can learn from. The work is fast paced, and can get experience using a variety tools in a variety of industries. Work life balance is pretty good once you’ve been there 1-2 years.

Cons

Few women in leadership roles, with no women managers on the developer side of the business. Very few women developers at all. Since 2020, there have been layoffs at least one a year. Business is very slow to come in, and they acquired a nearshore company which has been the focus. I expect continued domestic layoffs to be ongoing. The message is for the developers to try and be up-selling their current projects, since the sales team is having trouble bringing in new work. During a layoff last year, they let go the only two women in the company who had taken maternity leave. Work can be monotonous if on the same type of projects. Estimates and scope are always tight and expect the developer to make up the time or always do things faster.

Thank you for your feedback. We take concerns like these seriously and would like to clarify a few points: On inclusion and gender equity: We’re proud to share that nearly 30% of our Leadership Team is made up of women (2 out of 7), and we’re actively working to grow representation across all areas, including technical roles. In addition to our Leadership Team, we also have women in key leadership roles in HR and Development, reflecting our commitment to inclusive leadership across departments. We recently celebrated Women’s Week to highlight the impact and contributions of the women at Adage, and we remain dedicated to building an inclusive culture. On layoffs and parental leave: It is not accurate to say there have been layoffs every year. While we've had to make difficult decisions in response to broader economic challenges, they have not occurred annually, and we always approach such decisions with care, transparency, and respect for those affected. Additionally, the claim that layoffs were tied to maternity leave is categorically false—Adage fully supports parental leave and is committed to treating all employees equitably. On business focus: Our nearshore growth is part of a global strategy, not a shift away from domestic teams. We continue to invest in our people and deliver meaningful work across regions. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to listen, learn, and improve.
