Pros

Development team works with interesting technology. Good opportunity to learn good development practices. Regular social events.

Cons

No opportunity for growth, mix of no meaningful managerial support and micromanagement of every tasks. Zero training dollars, poor workplace culture which promotes office politics and undercuts staff who want to advance. Management regularly withholds relevant information like project due dates or important communication from project stakeholders. Talent is wasted due to paranoia and perceived threats of being usurped.

Pros

Generally nice, hardworking people. Management is responsive and generally wants what's best for employees. I believe in the strategic plan, and I can see a future of growth at the company. Least office politics of anywhere I've worked. I see more opportunity for myself here than I've seen at other workplaces. Company also values diversity and plain speaking.

Cons

It's a small company, so like many small companies, there is a lot of work to go around. Some people have to do many different kinds of tasks.

Pros

Flex time, most managers don't micromanage, not downtown Vancouver

Cons

parking and transit access kinda sucks, office is tiny and desks are cramped, managers are too hands off, no career development, managers don't care about HR or employee happiness on a whole, individual employees can get what they want but there are no standards and each employee is treated differently, workforce is pretty diverse but it's generally sexist and condescending instead of uplifting and supportive, culture & vision are a joke, no one follows it.

Thank you for sharing your review regarding AdPerfect. I appreciate the feedback and would like you to know that we have addressed and continue to improve on a number of the issues you mentioned. In 2018 we conducted exit interviews with employees who have left the company and did a company survey in August 2018. As a result of this, the management team has made many changes and improvements. Some of these changes and improvements are: regular one-on-one meetings by managers with their team members to discuss how we can help them grow their careers, and remove any barriers to productivity. From their feedback we have improved the working environment by installing new variable height desks, along with purchasing new hardware to meet our new standards for development and engineering workstations. We also have quarterly lunch and learns for development and support teams and managers are recognizing employees more frequently by sharing department achievements with the entire company via email and during quarterly staff meetings. We are very proud of our diverse work culture and I believe it is one of the strengths of our company and corporate culture. Starting Q1 2019 we will have a People and Culture resource to implement best practices and provide our team with an additional resource for feedback. We’ve committed to doing company surveys twice a year. Our next survey will be done in December 2018. We look forward to our employee's feedback and will continually improve the company in all areas.
