Pros

For it's size, acuvate makes a substantial splash, it's definitely a cut above the rest when it comes to boutique M365 consultancies. Many of the project managers are homegrown and they run a tight ship. One of the few companies where project managers are actually impactful. You can grow rapidly provided you are the right fit - especially cultural fit. That means you can make a senior or even a lead engineer on 5 years or so. The grassroot - both productivity and efficiency is remarkable for a small indian company, you'd find the maximum impact at 2-5 year level. Naturally, it's a strong ecosystem of learning and delivery ownership.

Cons

Work culture is archaic at best. There's very little job satisfaction especially at grassroot level. There's also high turnover, which makes project management quite miserable. They are almost always short staffed - and there's immense pressure. There's always a sense of insecurity and quite a bit of politics. I found working here quite stressful and on a couple of occasions extremely toxic. More often than not, lateral entrants (like me) almost always leave after a little time. Only those who've started as freshers and adapted to the way of working here do alright. There's a lot of hierarchy, which is typical of a small Indian services consultancy. I didn't find a lot of collaborative work, the system almost entirely runs on superman developers and delivery managers. There's little to no team work. General day to day operations especially offshore is fairly toxic - especially for the junior engineers (2-3 years) There's plenty of other systemic issues - lack of process, hire and fire culture etc. something to definitely introspect on. Personally, by far the my biggest concern was an absolute and blatant disregard for mental health that the organization either knowingly or inadvertently fosters. For freshers who want to take it on as a challenge - id definitely recommend, provided you are able to protect your mental space For lateral entrants - especially those who have even 3 or so years experience in the relevant field and decent exposure, id definitely not suggest this company.
