Pros

- Structured processes for everything from on boarding to reporting issues with payroll. finance, technical support, issues etc.

Cons

1.CLOUD FIRST DU (now renamed as Cloud Transformation (CTS DU) (DU = Delivery Unit) - which is for SAP BASIS and Security Skilled people is one of the worst DU / capability units to be part of. Avoid joining this DU at all costs. They have their own Unofficial rules / policies for vertical growth / promotions and is completely filled with Poor Leadership at the top who give Preferential / biased Appraisals to their own candidates. The Managing Directors (MDs - level 4), Associate Directors (AD - level 5), Senior Managers (SMs- level 6) - especially from Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata locations have threatened Employees to forcefully join projects and threatened to give them PIP rating despite being the best performers just to ensure they keep them within their own Delivery Unit (DU) 2.Appraisal Process / Talent Discussions itself is Completely OPAQUE with absolute secrecy and ZERO accountability & visibility to any employee. 3.Cloud First DU gets a budget for appraisals / promotions - which is designed such that an employee who has worked hard in one project has No Guarantee that he/she will get the due rewards / compensation as entire Profits of the Cloud DU from multiple projects go to a Pool and then Rewards are given Based on Leadership's own preferred candidates than those who have worked hard or deserve it truly. STAY AWAY / AVOID AT ALL COSTS - CTS DU (Cloud Transformation Services DU) - also formerly called as CLOUD FIRST DU (CF DU) / SAP Basis/Cloud Capability. 4. WOMEN Reservation Quota - Accenture Has Women Reservation Quota (of course Unofficially, not mentioned in any of Accenture's 100s of policies), whereby Women employees get undue & most times undeserved benefits and have a FIXED Promotion Slot for Each project & each Team within a project no matter whether any women employee has performed even at average levels or not. Example : if a project gets allocated 2 Promotion slots for a Financial Performance year, then 1 Slot will be Reserved/Fixed for WOMEN and if only 1 Slot is given for a Financial/performance year, then that Slot will be Given to a WOMEN employee. So if you are a guy and have one or multiple Women employees part of your team, you can tell your Promotion Good-bye. 5. Variable Pay for last 5yrs has been paid less than 5% (single digits) on avg. even though variable pay component is 20% or more of the total CTC for most employees (across SAP practice). 6. MOST IMPORTANT - If you join Accenture for any project which is part of CTS DU, then you are stuck in the DU for your entire Accenture tenure and the leadership of CTS DU DOES NOT ALLOW Anyone to go outside of the DU at any cost. They will threaten you and use the junior HR folks to makeup some fake allegations / accusations against you to Scare you and try all possible tactics to keep you within DU. only option they leave you with is to QUIT Accenture even though there are many better projects/opportunities outside of the CTS DU which you can never access nor do they allow your visibility to any project managers outside of CTS DU. the CTS DU ledership and PMO makes sure of this. Due to such tactics by CTS DU leadership there has been an EXODUS from the CTS DU in past few years and hence you might see lots of SAP Cloud/HANA/Basis/Security openings being posted online everywhere.
