Pros

Accenture offers a suite of opportunities

Cons

Terrible for new joiners. Plenty of analysts on the bench - was on the bench for 7 weeks when I started. How is that a way to enter the work force? Recently split at Analyst-level between Accenture Strategy's ASADP and Accenture Consulting's MCDP. ASADP - You will be on the bench a lot. Once you network, you can get on some roles.. but expect that to take a few months. Accenture hired too many strategy analysts for the work they actually sell. Some analysts are put on projects for free. No one wants to work with a brand-new analyst so becomes tough to gain traction. MCDP - Essentially Accenture's Change Management and Transformation Implementation group. Many analysts get awful Program Management (PMO) staffing. Difficult to travel, so if you think you'll be one of those traveling consultants you hear about, think again. In MCDP, you are industry-aligned based on your office location's needs and demands. Has nothing to do with your former experience or interests. They will try to staff you locally. It is very soviet-era in the choices you have. Also, within the organization, strategy is more highly respected as those folks get paid more. MC, in my opinion, does boring transformational work. Conclusion - Join ASADP if you can't get Deloitte S&O / Strategy& / LEK / MBB (big 3), but will likely be on the bench for a while. They have way too many analysts. MCDP is a joke.

Pros

There are a lot of pros working for Accenutre. They have great career opportunities, a never ending supply of interesting work, competitive compensation, wonderful benefits, great people, wonderful training programs, a tremendous number of brilliant professionals in their fields ready to help, and great core values.

Cons

This is not an opportunity for those that do not want to work. At Accenture everyone has a load of work to do and often times under very tight customer time lines. It is a challenge that I enjoy but many might find it stressful.
