Also, if you find a great manager or a project/client on which you genuinely enjoy working, it’s often worth staying with that team/client. Otherwise, exploring new options can be valuable, though it may come with the risk of encountering significantly less ideal teams or projects from which it may become difficult to extricate yourself. Compensation is partially a meritocracy and also location based.

There is an expectation of consistently long (55-75 hr) working weeks for those seeking to remain with the company or advance in their careers. Company culture is constantly shifting. Opportunity for advancement commensurate not only with spectrum effort internally and with the client, but also with corporate bureaucracy.
