Ok - Senior PHP Developer Absolventa Employee Review

Juniors are mentored very well in the tech team, in general people are nice and the communication among different departments is very direct and good. The office is very central and good to reach. There was budget for conferences and learning materials and the vibes in the team were friendly and nice. HR department is great and helpful.

Management was super unprofessional. Seemed like most of the managers (white, male) where only there because they knew each other from when they were young, but most of them didn't have actual management skills. A lot of work was actually done by people in HR who had to clean up after the management. There was very rare feedback (once or twice a year) and the CTO was completely overwhelmed by the several jobs they had to do (people management + business management + product owner + project management + coding ...) and therefore was not able to do any of the jobs completely. This meant that there was hardly ever time to talk about feedback, career growth, conflicts etc. Also the work was not properly managed, you basically came to the office, rolled up your sleeves and started working on whatever. They tried to introduce scrum to marketing + development, but it never really worked, because there were no dedicated scrum roles and nobody seemed to have understood the agile cycles. Tickets were written in a really bad way and for a while there were meetings that were supposed to be retrospectives but ended up being endlessly boring reports of details of what everyone had been working on (sometimes with more than 20 people reporting it was hard to stay awake). The upper management celebrates super toxic bro-culture and is constantly presenting their numbers to you without you actually having ownership or participation in any business decision. Salary is not good in Web Development.

- Hohe Fluktuation der Belegschaft durch die Abteilungen hinweg, wem sich eine gute Chance bietet, der geht - Führungskräfte stehen unter hohem Druck, den sie auch an das Team weitergeben, das Klima ist teilweise von Konkurrenz und Egozentrismus geprägt - keine Weiterbildung, keine Weiterentwicklung, man wird hier nicht gefördert, sondern soll einfach nur liefern. - Auch gute und ambitionierte Kolleginnen und Kollegen werden klein gehalten, höhere Positionen (so scheint es) immer nur extern besetzt.
