Pros

All positive stuff is overshadowed by the negatives.

Cons

More than enough has been said about CEO, but the rot does not stop at him. Leaders are all very political and fighting for his attention. He is not able to understand what is even happening at his company. Few teams have his attention although they have not delivered anything. Trust and safety is one third of the company and continues to hire although they have nothing to do and the Chief Safety Officer cannot even explain what safety is on the company townhall, she's told everyone to go experience it on the app. Most of the team has poor attitude towards work, some lucky few have already collected their bonuses and just want to have a honeymoon time. This is getting quite painful that all the money that we're spending on the team has no results. Company needs to address problems openly, it's very frustrating that we do not acknowledge that something is wrong with this company and try to fix it. People team needs to spend their time better, instead of having gatherings everyday and writing fake five stars review on Glassdoor. Go hire more engineers and product managers that will deliver the app and freeze hiring on other teams that do not contribute and only create more mess.

Pros

Supportive coworkers, competitive salary, excellent benefits and nice tech assets. Never have I started at a company and have been welcomed with the open arms that Aaqua does. From the onboarding sessions, to just...everyone wanting to help and provide you with whatever will help you do your best, you feel like you are set up for success. I know there are reviews on here from current and past coworkers griping about delayed GA release (equaling in delayed GA Bonus) but I feel like their heart is in the wrong spot. I want this company to success, I want to be a part of the change in social media, and we just aren't ready for public consumption. Saying "release the app, release the app" shows that money is the motive, because we only have chance at a first impression, it doesn't make sense to release until we are ready.

Cons

Start-ups are hard, working remotely in a pandemic is hard, no company can escape these hardships. More frequency of news would be helpful, when things change like changes in GA release or new members of EMT, we'd like to know sooner instead of waiting for the monthly email or live session. Some things require the long arduous corporate process but give us little things here and there so we don't feel like we're in the dark.
