Pros
After working for some large E-Commerce brands over the last few years, working at AWA is completely different - in a good way! The CRO team consists of likeminded, ambitious individuals who are passionate about what they do. The team are all friendly and we meet up regularly for socials, even though we are all based across the UK and other countries!
The senior management trust their employees and we are left to get on with our jobs without micromanagement or inefficient box ticking exercises/processes. We are asked for our working style preferences regularly and our thoughts / opinions are always taken into consideration with any new policy or initiative that's brought out.
We are able to work remotely and flexibly at times throughout the day that work best for us, which allows us to have a good work/life balance - something I've not experienced at other organisations in the past that have been overly corporate.
The work is really varied too and by working across different clients, we get experience in a range of different industries.
Cons
It can be a bit daunting at first when you start a new job remotely! However, the Head of People has introduced a structured approach with lots of catch ups which can help while you are finding your feet!
