Pros
Diverse staff. Culture determined by GM, less by headquarters. Easy to gain a wide range of experience in events from catering to operations to AV and IT by being on site throughout show. Good place to gain supervising experience but not necessarily excellent training. Great for those with previous hotel experience. Racially diverse, very little ageism. Develops you into a JackofAllTrades, no matter the position. People skills are a huge plus. Can be hard physically. Access to global venues portfolio.
Cons
Minimal management training or contemporary CMS skills systems training, except through sales or special projects. Salary range is low. HR can be overworked. Business casual is sufficient.
