Management is accommodating to employees needs. Work load is manageable. Company is providing training and pays for the certification exams. A lot of employees are staying with the company.
Cons
I hope they do cross training with other departments.
Overall I would say ASA Computers / Racklive is a great career opportunity for Computer Science or IT/IS majors looking to get their foot in the door to an industry using computers running in data centers. Whether you manage "cloud" machines or "on-premise" machines, you will learn a LOT about the types of systems used by working through this company. This company sells those machines -- and benchmarks them to ensure well-performing machines -- to many large organizations.
* The company also caters lunch for staff on special occasions which is nice. Bagels on Friday as well.
* They are pretty good in giving end of the year bonuses to people who are there by the end of the year.
* 401k + healthcare is pretty par for the course for a small business.
Cons
- Salary is not based off of what you bring to the table. The company cares more about customer-facing positions than whatever goes on mid-sales.
