There used to be pros. None that I can think of in the last couple years other than the fact of being employed.
Cons
Constant salary cuts and comp plans change every year. Each year the plans are changed to make it harder to earn a living. No raises for hourly employees for 10 years in many cases. The product they want you to focus on sometimes change weekly! Super micro-management. Morning meetings and afternoon meetings everyday to report what you are going to do and what you did. Excessive requests for record keeping on calls. When it comes to commission time (if you get any) you have to do a hail mary and hope for the best because there is no way to check if you are being paid correctly. Threats by management if you don't close the requested amount of deals that change almost weekly. Large percentage of sales team looking for other work.
