Pros

Engineering coworkers are great to work with, company culture is good, bonuses are good.

Cons

Hired as Electrical Design B. Duties listed as: · Utilize Electrical CAD software to design and develop PCB assemblies · Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and assembly. Did four board layouts in three months, then for eight months nothing but doing 3D mechanical drawings. Pay is a little below standard. No advancement in the engineering department.

Pros

- My manager is a great guy and lets me manage myself. He always praises me for the great work I do here. - The company offers benefits although it's only a high-deductible plan. - You are automatically included in the company's profit-sharing plan. - They automatically enroll you in their 401k program. - If you use your personal cell phone for work, they reimburse you a set amount towards your phone bill every month or every three months (whichever you prefer).

Cons

- Employees don't get a set amount of PTO per year. PTO accrues each pay period, and it takes a very long time to have enough PTO to take off for a week or two. - Bereavement time is not offered. A family member of mine passed away and I had to use my accrued PTO in order to go to his funeral service.

Pros

Amplifier Research is a well known name in industry. Their product is known for lasting a long time and doing what the advertisements say. True definition of industrial grade.

Cons

Sales continue to fall due to old product line and mismanagement. Management is confused as to what to do. It's obvious they do not know their market. That confused attitude has spread across the company. Everyone is afraid to say, "the king has no pants". The layoffs continue. They are fixing up the company to sell.
