Pros
There are sufficient communication from management to staff at all levels. A case in point is the half yearly townhall hosted by CEO, during which how the company performed over the past few months and the challenges in the forthcoming months will be shared. Staff from different departments also do come together to collaborate to see things through, although things can progress slowly, people move at different pace and directions.
Cons
Currently the outlook for the shipping industry is not rosy and things are expected to become worst. So there are concerns that more cost cutting measures are in the pipeline. Being a big company, the different entities operate in silos with different objectives making company-wide initiatives difficult to kick off and follow through. Certain support functions should also be improved radically.
