Pros

Very good atmosphere to work in. 88.5% of the people that work there are real working musicians and real working audio engineers. Employee-knowledge of A/V gear and how to use A/V gear correctly and being able to trouble-shoot technical problems and install A/V gear is very high. Even casual conversations and opinions of A/V gear heard around the water fountain are technically high and educational. (Anyone thinking of going to other places like Guitar Center, Sweetwater, Musician's Friend or some mom/pop music store for technical help-- you are 100% out of luck). If you're gear-head especially have a hight knowledge of live sound, lighting and projection systems, then this may be a place for you to work. Thank God that All Pro Sound is NOT a music store--like Guitar Center--were parents drop-off their kids for the day to bang drums and shred on guitars/basses licks all day long…STOP IT, PLEASE! Dress is very casual.

Cons

Okay how much $$ will you make? If you're assigned to a sales job (either inside sales, outside sales or national phone sales), then All Pro does not limit you to amount of cash you can make. Take-home pay is %percentage% driven --the more you sale, the more you make. National Phone sales is basically a hit-&-miss, russian roulette type of sales game: If you answering an in-bound call, then the chances of you selling an item (and actually making money) is much greater than cold calling an out-bound call--telemarking style. For instance, one in-bound phone call you might sell a $$ PA/lighting package and the next phone call you sell all $1.00 adapter. Otherwise, on the phones calling out making cold calls: i.e. Telemarketing. Although there is a very small minimum weekly guarantee, it is not enough to purchase a card box for you to live in under the bridge at night. So, to answer the question "How much money will I make?". The skies the limit. Although there is a very small minimum weekly guarantee, it is not enough to purchase a card box for you to live in under the bridge at night. Turnover is quite high if that answers your question. If you're assigned as an installer, then you're most likely will be hourly waged + per diem per/day. ($ depends on experience). If you're single and not tied-down to a homebody'ed spouse, then you will most likely like this position as you will most likely be on traveling around the US quite a bit doing installs in churches, schools, theaters, and coliseum. If you're assigned a management position, then it will be obvious what you'll make because we will all see you drive up in your newly leased BMW/Lexus/Escalade and hearing talk about your new boat. Compensation/Benefits: AP Sound does offer a insurance package (heath/dental/vision) but it is very basic at most--Major Medical only. If you are single, then the insurance program is okay. If you're doing the family plan program, then it will be quite expensive with high deductibles. Time Off/Holidays: All Pro is M-F (weekends off). Most all national holidays paid time off. Paid personal days based on number of years employed. Bottom-line: no matter which position you're assigned to, you'll will most like want to make time to work a second moon-lighting job.

Pros

decent pay for sales...but that's about it....

Cons

no chance of career advancements past sales, long hours, poorly ran, low morale, terrible benefits package, no paid vacation time, no paid sick leave, companies policies and procedures are at times confusing and convoluted and can change at any given time without your notice....this company went out of business in early 2011 and the pieces was picked up by an investor that retooled the company but left prior management in charge (yeah that makes sense), not sure how long he will keep the ship afloat until he pulls the plug....its best to have a back up plan if you work here
