Pros

The first year I was there it was the best place I’d ever worked. Receiving your salary is the only pro now.

Cons

As every other review eludes too this company is in trouble and the first thing to be thrown out was the people first mantra (not that management don’t still bleat it like sheep). SLT spent six months on a program to turn the company around and essentially came back with “offshore as much as possible, RTO for UK workers”. I was taken on remotely and had to argue the case on this, only backing down when I had the email trail to back me up. Cloud roles were transferred from a dedicated business unit to the Kilburn unit, which failed to win any cloud work. The exec then tried to blame the benched engineers for this, offered them a terrible settlement or were told they’d be performance managed out of the company. The company still tries to claim it’s grander than it is, advertising a staffing of 1400 (it’s closer to 900) and lists benefits that no longer exist. If you take a job here if a benefit isn’t in the contract, it’ll shamelessly be taken away as they can’t be trusted. No raises or training budget for nearly 3 years now, constant redundancies, no interesting work. The new plan to turn around lists cloud as one of six core areas for the business but they’ve lost nearly their entire cloud platform engineering staff in the past six months. This is the only job I’ve ever had to take sick days off for my mental health. The share scheme is a Ponzi scheme where you will never be able to sell shares if you make the mistake of buying them, the company has such little faith in itself they won’t buy them back.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry your opinion has changed so much, and for the negative impact on your wellbeing, which is the last thing we want. The concerns you’ve raised have been taken seriously, and many of the issues you mention—clarity on benefits, investment in people, and rebuilding trust—are exactly what our ongoing transformation is focused on addressing. We know progress won’t feel meaningful until it’s consistently visible day-to-day, but hopefully you've already started to notice some positive changes with new clear progression criteria, a redesigned reward framework, and dedicated upskilling in key growth areas. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and feedback.
