Not employee friendly - EMT AMR Employee Review

Pros

The only pro is that this is a nationwide company and we do not have to worry that we will not be paid, unlike the last company that was in our county.

Cons

This AMR is not employee friendly at all. The company sees us as replaceable at any time. They do not like older employees who have been in this county for a long period of time. The supervisors would rather write you up then help you with an issue. There are not enough units on the streets to cover the vast response area that we have. Management and Supervisors do not communicate well or listen to the employee's advice about what is really going on, on the streets. AMR lets everyone else be our boss as well. From fire to the cops and hospital staff, even if they are wrong and we are right, they side with these people.

Pros

Career growth opportunities, supportive coworkers, opportunities to learn and develop, ability to advance if you stay engaged and work hard

Cons

Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

Pros

As we continue to strengthen our culture, our Core Behaviors remain the foundation for how we lead, engage, and deliver results across our teams. These behaviors are not just guiding principles—they define the expectations for how we interact with each other, our patients, and our communities every day. At their core, these behaviors drive consistency and alignment across the organization. By prioritizing care, encouraging open communication, seeking to understand, collaborating on solutions, and holding ourselves accountable, we create an environment grounded in trust, respect, and shared responsibility. I am proud to be part of a great organization that exemplifies the core behaviors.

Cons

Success of the Core Behaviors depends on consistent leadership, clear application, and sustained reinforcement over time. This is a challenge that will take time.
