Good Family-Owned Company - Senior Project Manager AMG (OH) Employee Review

I've been with AMG, Inc. for over 5 years as a Structural Engineer, and it's been an excellent experience. The work is challenging, interesting, and varied, which keeps me engaged. The other engineers here are collaborative, and always willing to help. Everyone brings their own expertise to the table, and it’s a lot of fun to problem-solve and brainstorm with such a bright and diverse group. Having previously worked for 2 other engineering firms, I think a standout benefit at AMG is the leadership team. They are transparent, approachable, and genuinely invested in employee growth. There’s always room to advance with the support they offer for continued training and education.

Like many growing firms, there can be times when the workload picks up, especially during peak project phases. While it can be demanding, it also provides an opportunity to stretch your abilities and work on high-impact projects. It’s a good fit for those who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The production employees are good to work with. The work is interesting. CEO is nice but focuses too much on engineering/PM work and delegates too much decision making to others who don't make good/thoughtful decisions.

Stuck in the past with regards to technology/software. Upper management is unwilling to change when presented with ways to stay current (or catch up) with the industry. Some PMs operate without real, thought out schedules so projects are more chaotic than they should be. Some PMs do not allow engineers to meet with the client, everything is filtered through the PM.
