Pros

Colleagues are usually young and open to make friendship outside work hours.

Cons

Low salaries and poor Contract conditions. High risk of getting bored when working at client's site. Ghost promises of career development, uncertainty that you realise after a few months in the company. Abusive contract clauses like retaining engineers by making them pay useless trainings if they quit.

This Career Management scheme is materialized by an Integration Meeting after the start of each engineer, and then by an individual quarterly follow-up in order to ensure both your career and your project are going in the right direction. Each year is wrapped-up by a formal Annual Appraisal during which numerous topics are tackled such Skills Development, Salary, Career Progression, Training... For specific trainings requiring a significant investment from ALTEN, a mutual commitment is effectively needed as it is the case in most companies. ALTEN is covering though, the full cost of the training. Finally, ALTEN LTD is giving the opportunity to its employees to develop their talent and abilities throughout their career in one or several of our four career paths covering: Expertise, Management, Business & Support functions.
