I was offered a salary of ₹30,000 per month, during which I was responsible for managing the company’s website, email campaigns, OEM coordination, design work, IndiaMART, and social media platforms. In addition to these responsibilities, I was also required to handle reception calls. Despite handling multiple roles single-handedly, I was frequently criticized in review meetings when sales numbers were down. It is unrealistic to expect one marketing executive at this salary level to be solely responsible for overall sales performance. Sales growth depends on multiple factors, including product, pricing, sales team performance, market conditions, and management decisions. In most organizations, content creation, design, paid campaigns, social media, and customer handling are managed by separate teams. Marketing requires proper budgeting and strategic investment. However, I was questioned and insulted even for utilizing a modest marketing budget of ₹15,000. My experience in this company was challenging and discouraging due to unrealistic expectations and lack of professional support. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this organization to others seeking a healthy and growth-oriented work environment.
