Pros
part of a large global company, opportunities for advancement are plentiful if you are ambitious. Pay is typical of the industry, perhaps a little better than competitors. Generally well managed (most locations).
Cons
Most jobs are very production based, many positions are not terribly challenging (From a scientific point of view). Can be repetitive. Lacks real incentives for worker productivity (Profit sharing, stock options). Typical of publicly traded companies, shareholder value is primary concern.
