Pros

I came to Almaden right after graduating college to work as an Account Executive and spent 2 years there. My time at Almaden allowed me to sharpen my sales skills, build my own book of business, and grow in both my professional and personal life. The culture at Almaden is very tight knit which is crucial in this industry because it takes a team to execute on every project. Working at Almaden made it easy to properly execute on projects, the first time. Lastly, the Senior Leadership team at Almaden has always had an open door policy in regards to employee feedback and ways to get better as a company. During my time at Almaden, they pushed me to get better each month, but not once did I ever feel micro managed which can be hard to find in a sales role! Highly recommend considering Almaden for future positions to anyone looking.

Cons

The world of Print, Promo, Distribution can be a difficult one to learn for someone new to the industry (like myself) so I'd say expect at least 6 months to a year needed to learn the internal processes at Almaden and how the industry works before being able to effectively sell the products. With that being said, Almaden gives you all the right tools to be successful if you are willing to put in the work.

Pros

Perks like free promotional products, an annual trip to promo industry trade show, company lunches once a month, team building events. There are some really kind and hard working employees here.

Cons

There is little room for career growth in this position. Prepare to do the job of a project manager, sales professional, brand manager, accountant and more in this role. The work load will pile up. Work piled up so much so I had to work beyond work hours 3/5 days a week and sometimes on the weekend. Management seemed to think this is "the grind" you need to be on to earn your commissions and go above and beyond for your customers. Resources are spread very thin and they have zero project management tools, everything is up to you has an individual.
