Pros

- The people are great to work with as they are very authentic, intelligent, and thoughtful. - The work and impact we have in partnering with leaders at well-known companies and brands give you experience with a variety of clients across verticals and locales around the world.  - AIIR understands that the future is remote, so it is equipped to function in a hybrid environment and is focused at bringing teams in-office a couple times per year to build connection. The company's core offering is focused on virtual coaching, so feels aligned.  - Very entrepreneurial environment, with ability for you to build skills and advance your career if you have grit and strategic vision to help pioneer a path forward. - Great work-life balance as the company is flexible to your needs and is focused on results. Parents are able to balance their family needs with work.  - The company also runs engagement surveys. As a direct result, they rolled out lots of updated benefits that are fairly generous for a smaller organization last summer. Comp is competitive. They use Justworks, so if you are familiar with that offering it's that. There's also a company 401k contribution without requiring that you match. AIIR doesn't seem to spare any expense in providing a new Macbook Pro, company swag, and subsidizing hardware to set up a home office if you need. - Offices just outside of Philly are fresh and up to date, with space for both quiet work and collaboration. It's complete with a small in-office gym and showers. There's catered lunch a couple of times a week, and a kitchen with beverages and snacks. -Bootstrapped built and funded--so we're not chasing the whims of investors and unachievable numbers despite being a start-up. Feels like every year we're set to work towards ambitious but achievable growth. - Leadership is open to hearing you out on a 1:1 basis. They veer towards solutions-oriented, so depending on who you have a forum with they might not entertain generalized complaining. The constructive feedback I've shared has been well received to date.

Cons

- It's a mature start-up with strong ambition to scale and grow. With that said, it's not a place where you can always refer to an established practice and execute it down to a T as there's always something new happening. Not without some growing pains. Could be a pro if you enjoy variety and new opportunities to learn. - There's a fair bit of change day to day. Leaders seem to be working to solve for emergent needs and further clarify expectations. Not the best environment for folks who find change and working through ambiguity difficult. - With it being a smaller company, relationships feel more palpable than at a larger organization. You get the opportunity to meet and work with a large percentage of the organization. Most people are really fun and enjoyable, however, there's personalities and egos at play. I find that people can be a touch emotional across all levels.

Pros

AIIR is full of genuine, down-to-earth, and talented people. Everyone, from internal team members to senior leadership to the consultant community, are so generous with their time and expertise, and there’s a real sense that everyone is rowing in the same direction (and enjoying it too). Bottom line: the culture is super welcoming and supportive, and the work is both challenging and meaningful. It’s also pretty unique to work at a firm that invests so intentionally in its pro bono work. AIIR puts real time, energy, and resources into supporting nonprofit organizations, not just talking about it. One of the many reasons I feel proud to be working here!

Cons

Like many growing organizations, some processes and systems are still evolving. On the flip side, it also means there’s room to be flexible in responding to client needs.

Pros

Strong and rigorous frameworks around coaching, leadership assessments and leadership development content.

Cons

Out of touch understanding of how to actually care for people, lack of sincerity when dealing with staff of color, out of touch with principles of belonging, hierarchical "ivory tower" behavior.
