They really do put employees first - A/R Specialist AFC Hosting Employee Review

What I like is how our Vice President of HR started here as an intern. I love how they work hard to develop and train us. I overheard our CFO ask the CEO a question that made think of where his mind is at but he's no longer with us. He asked our CEO, Why do we spend so much money training our employees? What will we do if they learn and they leave us? Our CEO says to him what will we do if we don't train them well at all? He then says I'm not concerned because if we are doing our JOB as good managers our associates will not learn and leave us. I shouldn't have been nosy but I was glad I heard how the guy who started this company thinks about his people. We had a company party a couple weeks ago, and we were told to bring our family with us, everything is 100% paid for by the company. I'm a lesbian and I married to a woman with two adopted little boys. Being with the company for 4 months I'm wasn't sure how the company will take my family since we are different from everyone else. I have never felt so welcomed by a company and I can tell we are really a family here. The President of our company was the first one to greet us, and when she asked who were the people accompanied by me I told her, this is my wife and our two boys! Amie says to us you have a beautiful family, said hello to my wife and she even stooped down to say hello to my boys. No discrimination from the managers or any of the employees. The company just setup a really cool system to keep track of all of our time off we get notified of our paychecks, schedules texted message to us. Work life balance is awesome here. Today, I was trying to finish up some billing stuff today, since the other AR dude took the day off I had extra workload. Both our President, and the CEO were leaving and laughing, they passed by my office and I can here Johnny saying wait.., He walks backward and both He and Amie said at the same time, Why are you still here?? Johnny asked me didn't you walk in at 7:30 this morning? I said yes. He said don't you have a family at home? I said yes and he said what is more important? Trying to finish billing or your family? I didn't know how to answer and I didn't say anything. I just looked at him, he actually didn't look very happy with me. He then smiles and says to me, I can answer that for you and then he said Family. This will be here tomorrow so just finish where you left off and go be with your family, I never want to see you working overtime this isn't that important to me, well it is, but it's not more important than you being refreshed and happy. Go home, hit save, and just grab your things and let's all go home. Amie say OH YESSSS. I love that about a company and how they care. Employees really do come first, I didn't believe it but I'm a true believer in this company.
