Pros

In 2014, AECOM acquired URS Corporation. Overnight the employees count doubled. Management talked highly about the synergy of diverse talents. Opportunity to solve toughest problems of clients in 150 countries. Higher revenue. Cost savings.

Cons

Many of the legacy URS employees lost their professional titles and responsibilities. Some got reassigned/demoted with different responsibilities. Some were let go. Everybody (l-URS) felt concerned about their future. Low morales remains pervasive.

Pros

Decent company, good stock plan, good people who want to see you grow

Cons

Very remote management makes things hard, very little team work is locally siloed so its hard for managers to understand the boots on the ground view. Managers are great people but spread very thin, sometimes they accept work before having staff for it(classic consulting move)
