Pros
Flexible work schedule, work-social culture, pau hanas
Cons
Leadership and high-up project managers overall seem to have an attitude of "if you won't do it we'll fire you and find someone that will, " and you would actually end up getting iced out of work either through not being scheduled or not being given any when asking around for work because there is now this overall opinion of you and your work floating around. Used to be a decent office that actually took into account the field workers' opinions; now all upper management wants to do is make things look and sound nice when presented. Leadership has turned away from open communication to field staff and settled on secret backhanding of incidents. They are cherry picking what is shared from multiple email conversations going up the ladder regarding hazard communication and potential exposures. The upper management's mishandling of the situation communicates to field staff an intention to hide and bury information on new site conditions, potential exposures, and working around hazardous substances.
