AE has a great reputation in the industry. The retention rate for their technical teams is one of the best. Great company to work of.

AE was an excellent place to work. Engaging and challenging work. Lots of opportunity for those who choose to take it or create it. Pay for most positions was well above average with some great options for scalability. AE truly defined and lived up to their values while I was there. Senior leadership believed in the mission and worked to enable all team members at all levels. You'll thrive here if you love dynamic work, solving problems, and learning a lot. AE had an interesting amount of generational diversity in the staff. Rather than shying away from differences, they were embraced and team members were encouraged to "Value every team member and every contribution." If you're looking for a place to prove yourself, there's a lot of opportunity here.

With the style of organization it is, you're often subject to the will of the customer. Sometimes customers are tough or unreasonable and you don't have much recourse. Be ready to "put your ego in the trunk" in some circumstances. If you thrive on process, be ready to be a change agent. Smart processes were embraced when introduced thoughtfully, but at the end of the day, AE is a get stuff done culture with a strong positive bent. Cons here are really subjective. It was a great place to work and I would absolutely recommend it.
