Pros

The only "Pro" to working for ADT is if you are absolutely desperate and / or need medical insurance.

Cons

There is not one department at this company that isn't hopelessly screwed up and that includes Installation, Customer Service and Residential Sales. Installers regularly screw up perfectly good orders if the job requires more work than they want to do. Customer Service does more to irritate customers than assist them. Management pretends that there are no problems and sales people are left to deal with the fallout. Salespeople are given totally inadequate training if they get any training at all. Salespeople at ADT are all commission and the company truly believes that if a salesperson starves, they will work harder to make sales.

Pros

I've worked for the company for 40+ years, I'm treated with respect and my efforts are recognized by my Director and other ADT leaders. They give me the autonomy to manage my department and value my experience and insight. They offer a solid benefits package. ADT leads by example with their cultural markers and ensures that rules and laws are followed. I love the collaboration I have with our other departments.

Cons

Obviously, we all want more money, especially given the prices of everything, it's always nice to make more money, but I've checked the compensation and benefits in similar positions outside of ADT and I feel ADT is paying a fair wage and when I factor in the benefits package, they are above average in overall compensation.
